About the

Tucked between sweeping lawns, wild bush, and ever-present views of the lake, Fothergill is made of two interconnected camps that offer both privacy and a sense of togetherness. The property features ten spacious and elegant tented suites in total: five Lake Suites, two Family Suites, and three exclusive-use Suites at Little Fothergill - which can stand alone or be combined with the main camp for a seamless experience.

Each suite has its own personality, with open, airy layouts and interiors that celebrate the natural surroundings. They have earthy tones, handcrafted textures, and bursts of African colour that reflect the vibrant spirit of our culture.

Both camps are designed for comfort, connection and calm. You'll find WiFi in the main areas. The Lake Suites and Little Fothergill both feature inviting swimming pools, open-air seating and expansive decks, along with cool, shaded lounges and elegant indoor dining spaces.

CHILD POLICY
Fothergill is the perfect destination for families with children of all ages. Child rates apply to children aged 3 – 16.
• Cots are available for ages 0-2 at no additional cost.
• Children 16 and under can be accommodated in Suites on an extra bed. Only 1 bed per Suite as a 3rd person sharing. The child rate applies when sharing with at least 1 full paying adult.
• Children in their own Suites - the first child pays the adult rate and second child will pay the child rate.
• The Family Suites offer 2 en-suite rooms with a shared lounge in the middle and a plunge pool.
• All pools are unfenced. The Suite pools can be covered for safety while the central pool and pond will be unfenced.
• The camp is surrounded by an electric fence to keep dangerous game out (especially elephants and hippos).
• No professional child minding is available; however the guides are able to entertain children during the day as required.
• There are numerous lawn games, balls, cricket and fun activities that can be enjoyed on the lawn.
• The safety of children will be the parents’ responsibility at all times.

• All meals and drinks.
• Guided safari activities including walking, game drives, boat cruises and fishing (including the use of fishing equipment), archery, running track and gym equipment.
• Half-day tour of Kariba town and visit to Lake Kariba dam wall (access by boat with a guide).
• Wi-Fi, Laundry & VAT.
• Island Suites includes all of the above plus a private guide, vehicle and chef.
• Pilot/guide rate includes all meals and soft drinks and accommodation in the staff village.

CANCELLATION POLICY

All travellers are advised to take out fully comprehensive travel insurance with CFAR (Cancel For Any Reason). This insurance must be able to fully cover cancellation of travel less than 45 days prior to arrival.
• Cancellations must be received in writing.
• The cancellation policy also applies to confirmed bookings that reduce their length of stay. The below cancellation fees will apply on the released night/s.

46 or more days prior to arrival:
No refund of the 20% Commitment Fee

45-30 days prior to arrival:
50% of full amount due will be charged as a cancellation fee

29 days or less prior to arrival:
100% of full amount due will be charged as a cancellation fee.

The company shall not be obliged to perform any obligation under the Contract if such performance is rendered impossible, substantially more difficult or delayed as a result of Acts, Orders or Regulations issued by Central or Local Government, industrial disputes (whether official or unofficial), war, riots, hostilities, flood, fire, accident, act of God, epidemic, failure or shortage of supplies or from many other cause, event or occurrence which the Company is either unable to prevent having due regard to its interests. The Company shall not be liable for any loss, damage, cost or delay arising from or as a result of such non-performance. The onus is on the operator to ensure that their clients are in possession of adequate travel insurance.

TERMS & CONDITIONS
• Rates are quoted in US Dollars (US$), include VAT and are subject to change.
• A minimum stay requirement of 2 nights applies.
• 20% non-refundable Commitment Fee required within 14 days of confirmation.
• The balance of payment is due at 45 days prior to the arrival date.
• All amounts paid into the nominated account will be on the full invoice amount with no deduction for bank/credit card fees.
• Receipt constitutes the deposit reflecting in our bank account.
• For any booking made 45 days or less prior to arrival, full payment is due immediately.
• Specific Suites within a category can be requested, however Fothergill reserves the right to reallocate bookings to Suites within the same category as required without prior notice.
• Fothergill reserves the right to review and change rates on a quarterly basis. All rates for bookings already made will be honored and once the updated rates are released all new bookings will be as per the prevailing rate.
• Late payment of deposits or balance payments will result in bookings becoming subject to reconfirmation and may result in cancellation.
• The responsibility of all guest’s medical insurance and evacuation policy is solely for the guest.
• The guest or agent will provide a full and detailed rooming list together with any dietary requirements, medical insurance details and passport details not less than 14 days prior to arrival.

If any of the terms and conditions are breached, Fothergill reserves the right to:
• Cancel reservations.
• Withdraw any other special trading arrangements.
• Terminate this agreement.
• Take any legal action, as necessary.
